Awareness of our interdependence
JEMONDE 12 is the first sculpture in the corpus of works of the JEMONDE protocol, a poetic
and citizen exploration of the Anthropocene begun by the artist in 2014 and supported by UNESCO. The sculpture,
realized in 3D printing, is composed of portraits of the soul of 12 citizens, collected by the artist at the Centre
Pompidou Metz during a symposium on art and the environment and which come to form in turn a diameter of
the sphere. A soul portrait is composed of 4 sentences to be completed by each: “I am … I live in a world … My
commitment… A fetish sentence …”. They co-create together a globe, a world.
Is the architecture of the world the result of our many individual actions? Are we all cocreators of the world?
To this question, the artist answers in the affirmative and tries through her multidisciplinary protocol JEMONDE
to aestheticize it to increase the collective consciousness of our interdependence.
