«Les Fleurs du Bien» is a series of watercolors representing flowers that have the particularity to be on the red list of vascular flora of metropolitan France according to the International Union for the Conservation of Nature.
The plastic artist pays tribute to Baudelaire and biodiversity. She begins this series with «Les Aristoloches de l'Ecluse».
If Les Fleurs du Mal, a collection of poems by Charles Baudelaire, scandalizes the conformist and respectability-minded society of the time, «Les Fleurs du Bien» aim to wake up a civilization that is killing biodiversity, which has already decreased by 60% in the last 40 years according to some experts.
Maud Louvrier Clerc calls upon the poetic beauty of a flower in this series, hoping to inspire a shock, a desire to react, a move to protect the living beings around us.
