On the occasion of the Week of Sustainable Development, the Centre Pompidou-Metz receives on Thursday 3 April 2014 artists, engineers, teachers and researchers from France and China who have been behind the project “Dans quelle vie tu monde(s)”. Sharing the same interest in contemporary art, international relations, environmental and societal issues, they come to confront their points of view during several meetings.

 

The program includes a conference on the environmental issue in relation to contemporary art led by Nathalie Blanc, research director at CNRS and three round tables where artists and actors from the world of art and culture discuss, among them :

Hélène Guénin, Head of programming at the Centre Pompidou-Metz, Claude d'Anthenaise, curator of the Musée de la Chasse et de la Nature in Paris, Antigone Mouchtouris and Jean Marc Leveratto, sociologists at the University of Lorraine, Christian Debize director of the ENSAN Ecole Nationale supérieure d'Art de Nancy, Fu Xiaodong, curator of the exhibition in residence at the FRAC Lorraine, Loic Fel co-founder of the COAL project, Coalition for Art and Sustainable Development and plastic artists Maud Louvrier-Clerc, XuefengChen, Linggjie Wang and Jingfang Hao. This day also offers a conference-performance led by the couple of artists VINCENT + FERIA and the diffusion of videos from Map Office, French video artists based in China for 15 years.

Exploring the new links that are being forged: - between arts and technology - science and reality - physical space and data space He studies creative processes in their artistic, cultural and social dimensions, and aims to draw the world to live in its most imaginative and innovative forms.
